Elite Audit are assisting a professional services organisation with the appointment of a new IT Auditor to fit into the team. The role will report onto the IT Audit Manager. This role will focus on clients in the not for profit sectors and there will be an expectation for you to visit client sites as well working from home.
The role:
To assist the Director of IT Audit in the provision of IT related internal audit and business assurance services to clients within the public and private sectors.
- To carry out internal audit reviews in accordance with instructions and as directed by the Director of ICT Audit. This will include planning, testing, making recommendations and reporting and responding in timely manner to all correspondence.
- To ensure that all internal audit work for which the post holder is responsible is carried out in accordance with the PSIAS/IIA-UK Standards and Professional Standards Manuals. Including, where relevant, supervising and reviewing the work of more junior staff.
- To ensure that all work is carried out within the programmed times and the reports are turned around within the timescales set out in the company’s Professional Standards Manual.
- To assist ICT audit management in the development of improvements and enhancements to ICT Audit and Cyber Services.
- To ensure that all administrative forms are completed fully and submitted by the due dates.
- To assist in the installation, specification, testing and maintenance of Company hardware and software.
- To assist in the programming and development of Company software to agreed standards.
- To provide user support to all staff.
- To provide support and advice on a range of IT and internal audit issues in a timely and effective manner.
- To assist in training staff on Company systems.
- To provide a valuable contribution to the Company’s IT strategy.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of IT internal auditing
- Ability to write reports setting out work carried out and the findings arising
- Experience of system based auditing
