Cloud Architect - Microsoft (M365/Azure)

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft architect to join a professional services team, within the Cloud and Infrastructure practice. The Architect will assist with client engagements, presales, as well as implementations. The role also includes technical strategy, design consultancy, as well as continued existing product development, as well as creating new products.

The candidate should have prior experience working directly in an architect function, or providing an architect function in an aligned role. The key focus on this role will be to work with customers during the presales cycle to correctly identify and scope work, which can then be delivered within the team. As a solution architect, you will act as an escalation point for the consultants and delivery engineers in team, as well as for other areas of the business where required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• This role will perform an architect function for the Cloud and Infrastructure practice, which includes the below workloads:
  • Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Microsoft On-premises solutions
• Generate new product ideas, drive them through the Innovation Forum, and own the product during its life cycle.
• Innovate on existing products, leveraging new features/technologies, as a core amendment or additional service.
• Work with our presales function to drive Cloud & Infrastructure aligned works to success, delivering presales consultancy, scoping, technical lead and implementation as needed.
• Acting as an escalation point for the practice, supporting the efforts of the Consultants and Delivery Engineers.
• Delivering Core and Microsoft workshops aligned to Cloud and Infrastructure solution stack.
• Actively seek improvements in both personal, as well as organisational knowledge, to help improve processes and solutions on an ongoing basis.

Require Skills:

• Experience providing architectural and consultative engagements in technical customer-facing roles
• Facilitates collaboration and involvement with other team members as project work is distributed across various roles
• Experience working in presales capacity
• Strong presentation, communication, and demonstration skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft cloud and on-premises solution capabilities
• Breadth of knowledge across architectural principles, solution development, design, business change processes, and technical best practices

• Next Gen Windows - Windows 11, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365
• SCCM, Co-management, Hybrid AADJ, migration to Intune from SCCM/alternative MDM

• Collaboration - Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Exchange - both cloud and on-premises
